Sisters Caitlin and Sidney started playing cover shows as "2Girls with Guitars" in 2013. The two kept writing and recording their own original material while learning a variety of instruments. In June of 2014 they wrapped up their first self funded EP with producer Jon Bonus. "Skyline" was released under the new band name "Facing West". That summer they played around Colorado festivals as a duo act performing material from this first studio creation along with a variety of popular cover songs.
At the end December of 2014 Facing West re-entered the studio at Rusty Sun Audio and began recording a full length album named "Long Way Home". The album was produced by Joshua Bertrand mixed by Nick Nodurft and mastered by David Glasser at Airshow. That summer they expanded adding in a full band and played over fifty shows across the West. By word of mouth and the incredible response to their live shows the festival bookings just kept coming!
Now on a break from live performances the two are concentrating on high school, doing some much needed snowboarding and are hard at work writing and recording new material. In addition, they began the new year working with masters of content creation and Youtube guru's at Fifgen Films. Based out of Portland Oregon, Fifgen has had a hand in the creation of video content for Peter Hollens, Home Free, Tyler Ward, The Pentatonix, Lindsey Stirling and many many more.
